BIG MACHINERY WEEKEND

2nd - 4th May 2026

Try out tractors and massive machines near Scunthorpe! Our early May bank holiday family event is one of the most popular of the year and has always sold out for good reason... It’s basically heaven for kids.

Welcome to The Big Machinery Weekend, taking place at The Pink Pig Farm during the early May Bank Holiday (Sat 2nd, Sun 3rd and Mon 4th May 2026).

We’ll have all of our tractors out on display for your child to sit in and pretend they’re a full time farmer. This event was amazing last year, we saw so many tiny smiles!

Tickets include all day indoor and outdoor play across the whole farm park too.

Find out more on this page and use the buttons to book your tickets before they sell out.

What’s included in your Big Machinery Weekend tickets?

  • Play farmer - sit in as many of our machines as you like! From tractors to a whopping combine harvesters, your child will be in vehicle-paradise!

  • Bank holiday special: Tractor trailer rides! Enjoy a hilariously bumpy ride around the farm.

  • Outdoor adventures - climb our frames, fly along the zip wire, run free!

  • Enourmous bouncy pillows - they could spend hours jumping if you let them…

  • Hay bale barn play - swing from bale to bale, tunnel beneath and enjoy an exciting adventure.

  • Sandpits & water duck racing - explore the senses and get industrious with wholesome play.

  • Gokarts, toboggans and ride-on tractors* - don’t stop moving! (*Tractors are a paid extra)

  • Indoor soft play - with seating and café for when you need a rest and they want to keep going!

  • Piggy Tale Lane Imaginary Play Zone - watch them role play in our gorgeous play zone.

  • Animal trail - say hello to everything from alpacas and sheep to goats and - of course - pigs.

  • “What a wonderful day was had by my Grandchild and I. The Big Machines weekend was the icing on the cake. The variety of activities, the friendly staff and the gorgeous food made this a day and a half!. My 19 month old grandson Stanley is still raving about the 'Bombine' ( Harvester). Highly Recommend.”

  • “What a fantastic find this was.. there was 5 kids with 3 of us adults, we didn't have so much as one moan or groan, no nagging for things and no tears from any of them.. we went at 10.30am and left at 4pm. Such a bargain of a day out.. we will be back..”

  • “Really great place for young families. Plenty to do. Lots of fun activities for the children outside and then they have a softplay area inside. Plenty of picnic benches to take your own food and some sheltered. We bought our tickets in advance as saved per person. Staff very friendly and helpful.”

  • “I’ve visited many times with my two children (aged 3.5 and 1.5) and will continue to visit regularly; it’s well worth the 40 minute drive. We arrive for opening and often don’t leave until closing!”

  • "We had a lovely day at The Pink Pig Farm with our daughter and grandchildren. They got to climb into the cabs of tractors and a combine harvester (it was the Big Machinery Weekend) and really enjoyed both the indoor soft play and the outdoor play activities. We've been before and it never disappoints - I'm sure we'll be back!"

  • "A brilliant day, well organised, and my 3 year old grandson had a ball. Fun filled day from 10am till we left at 2pm."

  • "We took my 20 month old for the machinery day, he’s tractor obsessed, and he absolutely loved it. There was so much to do, we didn’t even manage to use the soft play in the few hours we was there because my little boy was having such a good time outside. There aren’t tonnes of animals to see but if you have active babies that love being outside it’s such good value for money compared to the other bigger chains!"

  • "We visited for the big machinery day and had a lovely time! My little boy was spoilt for choice on what to do first as so many different play areas and things to do, he had a really fun day ❤️ we’re looking forward to coming again"
